HOW TO CLEAN YOUR HOME AFTER HOLI?

The extremely joyous and colorful event of Holi is celebrated with music, dance, and utmost zest. During the festival, what comes to our minds is throwing colored powders, playing with water guns, or blasting water balloons. These colors are a mixture of different chemicals like mineral oils, acids, heavy metals, or glass powders, and other compounds which are tougher to wash off. As compared to natural colors, it is more difficult to remove these synthetic colors from the floor, wall, furniture, or fixtures.

It is essential to remove the stains to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the area. Despite having a sturdy chemical composition, and being next to impossible to completely clean, Primo below shared a few tricks and tricks on how to clean your home post-Holi:

1. It is essential to remove the color stains on the first day only. The longer the delay, the tougher the stain gets.

2. Smaller stains can easily be removed by using a soap-soaked brush. It is important to note that the brush bristles must be soft, and do not leave any scratches on the floor. It is preferable to use Nylon bristled brush for this purpose.

3. Mild stains can be removed by pouring a cleaning detergent on the stain, leaving it for some time, and then gently brushing it off, and wiping it with a soft cloth in the end. Repeat the step if necessary.

4. The floor can easily be cleaned with a mixture of baking soda and water. Do note that this method may not work on the walls, and may ruin or chip the paint on the wall.

5. Lastly, be patient with the stains. The sturdy composition may not allow instant removal, but quite a few attempts to get removed completely.
